Since 2004 AfB has been a champion for social inclusion and environmental protection by refurbishing decommissioned IT hardware

2017

Opening of the Recycling Centre in Paderborn.

Opening of the Logistics Location and shop in Paderborn.

2016

AfB came in third in the category “Vocational Sponsoring by Companies“ and was awarded a cash prize of 5,000 EURO. This was the decision of the jury that also included Heinrich Deichmann.

Kick-off of the collaboration of AfB, Fujitsu and Diebold Nixdorf .

2015

AfB shop Hannover moves into new premises in Meelbaumstraße in Hannover-Hainholz.

2014

QuerdenkerAward (for companies thinking outside-the-box) in the category “Green“ being awarded the “Impact Label” by the non-profit analysis and consulting firm PHINEO.

Opening of the first Swiss AfB shop in Urdorf in 2014

Innovation Award of the Germany Economy 2014 in the category “Innovative Personnel Concepts“.

2013

Founding of the AfB Foundation in Switzerland.

Second AfB shop opens in Vienna.

2012

German Sustainability Award in the category:  “Germany’s Most Sustainable Future Strategies".

First AfB subsidiary in France

10th branch store opens in Berlin.

First hardware pick-up from Spain and Italy

The AfB location Jülich moves into the nearby Düren in October 2011.

Ettlinger warehouse and offices move into the new building next to the sales showroom.

First AfB shop outside Germany, opens in Vienna in August 2011

Hannover location moves to “Lange Laube.“

2009

Cologne store moves into the new offices in Köln-Ehrenfeld.

New location in Essen (8th branch office).

Award won in the “365 Towns in Germany  – Land of Ideas 2009“ competition under the auspices of Horst Köhler.

AfB opens location in Unna.

Opening of a shop in the building of the Non-profit Workshops Cologne.

Opening of the second AfB branch office in Stuttgart.

Opening ceremony for the first AfB branch office outside Baden-Wurttemberg in Nuremberg

Warehouse and offices moved into the new office space in Ferdinand-Porsche-Straße in Ettlingen in 2004

2004

Founding of the AfB Non-profit GmbH on October 4, with offices in “Erlengraben” in Ettlingen and the warehouse in Emmendingen near Freiburg.
